It’s almost that time of year! Decor + Design, Australia’s No.1 Interiors Event, will take place from 18 – 21 July at Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Co-located with the Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF), these four special days are some of the most important on the Australian design calendar. They give the industry the chance to network with peers, be inspired by design influencers and experience new products from 500+ leading brands.

An Enduring French Provincial Love Story

We’re delighted to welcome founding exhibitors Villa Maison back to the show in 2019. The renowned furniture house was started by Elly Clues from her home almost 16 years ago, around the same time as Decor + Design. Since then, it has grown into a much-loved brand that keeps delivering exceptional, stylish pieces suitable for both classic and contemporary rooms.

Villa Maison are a supplier of quality furniture and home décor items to both Trade and Retailers. The brand’s DNA has been built over time to become unique and instantly recognisable, fused by Elly’s creative vision.

There is certainly a strong French Provincial aesthetic to many of Villa Maison’s signature pieces. With Elly being born in Holland and living in France, the design elements are constantly influenced by the incomparable Provencal surroundings where Elly and her husband Steve live for most of the year.

However – while the collections have a history based in Europe – the aesthetic that Villa Maison produces for their much-loved Australian market is predominantly inspired by the Hamptons and peppered with a Coastal, relaxed vibe. Perfect for a country that loves to entertain!

Comfortable, Chic Collections

For their 2019 collections, Villa Maison have maintained their Hamptons and Coastal influences.

Carefully-chosen, luxe fabrics are also a signature of their products, with their use of premium fabrics including elegant linens and sumptuous velvets.

Comfort is as important as style for Villa Maison. All of their sofas and chairs are filled with foam and feathers, creating the luxurious comfort that only feathers can provide!

The colour palette for this year nods to their French roots, rich with navy blues, linens and soft greys. All of these elements combine to bring a vibrant and yet classic feel to the entire collection, sure to have longevity in a variety of settings.

What can visitors exhibit to see at Decor + Design?

As one of our founding exhibitors, visitors to the show have come to anticipate and seek out Villa Maison’s beautiful collections.

This year, they will be launching something a little different; an exclusive collection of ‘table top’ and decor items, including white ceramics, stainless steel and natural wood.

These pieces are both stunning and functional, the kind of designs that will automatically enhance any home or entertaining experience.

In addition – along with new designs for their collections of Indonesian Rattan – Villa Maison have also introduced an option to “Name your Rattan” with bespoke markings, all direct from their manufacturers in Indonesia.
