2024 is all about Evolution. Australia’s No.1 Interiors Trade Event, Decor + Design, will celebrate its 20th anniversary with the launch of a co-located Green Design Show. Curated with intention, partners include the Green Building Council of Australia and Circular Design Thinking.

9000+ design trade visitors are expected at Decor + Design over three days at Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 17 – 19 July, to see heritage and emerging Australian brands across furniture, soft furnishings, lighting, textiles and art.

The inaugural Green Design Show will be a beautifully demarcated exhibition at the entrance, celebrating truly sustainable furniture, products and materials. It will feature leading brands from across the Australian green design space.

This important event is being curated purposefully and transparently by industry experts, to help drive a paradigm shift within the Australian design industry.

Transparency is paramount.

The Green Design Show will be governed by a set of Sustainability Guidelines from Circular Design Thinking, a leading eco-design consultancy and our official 2024 Sustainability Advisor.

Exhibitors in the Green Design Show must meet the guidelines, as well as requirements around sustainable stand construction.

Education is imperative.

 The Green Design Hub, which launched at Decor + Design to great acclaim in 2023, will sit at the centre of the new 2024 Green Design Show. It will be designer-curated and showcase innovative materials.

In addition, the inaugural Green Design Conference will also take place on the first 2 days of the event, 17 – 18 July, with the support of the Green Building Council of Australia.

This will be a platform for essential education and the latest information on upcoming government legislation, as well as inspiration on how to incorporate sustainable practices into world-class interior design and architecture in Australia.
